Obama Will Deliver The Eulogy At Clementa Pinckney's Funeral

President Barack Obama will deliver the eulogy at Rev. Clementa Pinckney's funeral.

According to a White House official, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will travel to Charleston on Friday for the services.

Pinckney was among the nine people who were shot and killed during a prayer service at a historically black church in Charleston, South Carolina, last week. Pinckney was a state senator and the head of the Emanuel AME Church.

South Carolina state Sen. Marlon Kimpson (D) told ABC News Pinckney was the "moral conscience of the General Assembly."

"The state of South Carolina has lost a giant," Kimpson said.

Last week, Rev. Al Sharpton recognized Pinckney for the work he did in South Carolina after the Walter Scott shooting.
